Lafia Local Government 13 Wards All Progressives Congress (APC) Unity and Progressive Forum, has passed a vote of confidence on the member representing Lafia Central Constituency at the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Hon. Solomon Yakubu Akwashiki of SDP over his purposeful leadership.
Mr. Hudu Surajo Muazu, who spoke on behalf of the forum passed the vote of confidence when they paid a courtesy call on Hon. Akwashiki in Lafia today.
Muazu said that the vote of confidence was based on the lawmaker's leadership qualities and his laudable achievements in office.
"Mr Project, we are here on a courtesy visit and you are a member of this forum and as our representative in this House, we proud of you"
" You are a leader to the core, a leader that knows the problem of his people"
" We are proud to have you as our representative. You are doing well, please keep it up"
"It is in view of this that we are passing a vote of confidence on you over your purposeful leadership qualities" he said.
He also assured Hon. Akwashiki of their support to at all times to enable him succeed.
Responding, Hon. Solomon Yakubu Akwashiki, member representing Lafia Central Constituency appreciated the forum for the visit and assured of his continued commitment to key into different policies and programmes that would have direct bearing on the lives of the people of the constituency.
Akwashiki (SDP) Chairman, House Committee on Public Accounts said that he has done so much for the people of the constituency and would continue to do more in order to better their standard of living.
" I am a member of this forum as I was voted into office by both APC, SDP among other political parties.
" I want to assure you that I will continue to do my best to provide the much needed dividends of democracy to my constituents.
"Hunger and poverty do not known religion or tribe or political party" he said.
The lawmaker urged the people to elect leaders based on credibility for good governance in the country.
He called on Gov. Abdullahi Sule to consider members of the group during his appointment in the State which he said the group has capable hands to assist the government.
Hon. Akwashiki also called on the people of his constituency and the State at large to continue to support Gov. Sule's administration to succeed.
"I am an advocate of this administration as His Excellency, Gov. Abdullahi Sule is doing well in almost all sectors of the economy" he added.
